Clutch Replacements

Clutch and Flywheel

At HG & Vehicle Services, we can investigate and diagnose clutch problems. There can be several reasons why a clutch has gone faulty or isn’t working how it should be:

  • The clutch cable may have snapped.
    • This can be indicated when the clutch pedal won’t come back up on the spring system and will be stuck to the floor. The cable would need to be replaced to fix this issue.
  • The clutch master or slave cylinder has gone faulty.
    • This is normally caused by the seals in the cylinders deteriorating. This causes fluid to leak, and air to enter the system through the deteriorated seals. The clutch will drag and feel different to how it should feel. It is likely the master or slave cylinder will need replacing.
  • The clutch assembly Is badly worn or failed.
    • This is caused through many years and miles of use. The clutch assembly would need to be replaced using a brand new clutch kit.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any worries about your clutch. We can check it for your peace of mind, and provide a quote for replacement if required.
